Even though Cor had various easels in his studios, he preferred this chair in this studio. At the time, the early sixties, he also had a studio above his home on the Voorstraat in Dordrecht, and one on an island called de Dood in the Brabandtse Biesbos, the immense wetlands created during the great St. Elizabeth's flood in 1421.
